Sunny Simmons

I recently earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Portland State University with a 3.59 institutional GPA and recognition on the President's and Dean's Lists. My academic interests lie at the intersection of mathematics, statistics, and data science, with a passion for using quantitative analysis to address real-world challenges. Through projects involving demographic research, statistical analysis, and Python-based data visualization, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills while learning to communicate complex findings in meaningful ways.

Beyond the classroom, I have reinforced my knowledge by tutoring and teaching mathematics to students with diverse learning needs, strengthening both my technical and communication skills. As I pursue graduate studies in Data Science, I hope to expand my expertise in statistical modeling and data analysis to contribute to evidence-based research and develop solutions that positively impact communities.
