About
My name is Suriyah Gilbert and I am 16 years old and a rising Junior of a small town in Arkansas named Pine Bluff. I am the oldest of two siblings. All my life people have been looking up to me and putting a great deal of weight on me for me to do something that they haven’t done. Whether it’s to finish high school, go to college, leave Pine Bluff, or make more money. I have finally chosen a career path that wouldn’t satisfy my family but satisfy me, describes me, and makes me feel like I belong.

My initial plan is to go to become a Health I.T. or a geneticist. I plan to shadow and do internships at hospitals where I can gain more familiarity with computers. I also plan to take coding classes, design and animation classes to broaden my choices and sharpen my skills.
- Outside the classroom
I was in Art Club, this past school year, band and soccer. In band I played the Saxophone. Other hobbies that I have is I draw (sketch), paint, and crochet.
