Susan Furkin

I initially attended school for film production, with the intent of going on wild adventures and filming nature for National Geographic-type programs. After graduating with a B.A. from Southern Illinois, I worked around the St. Louis area for a few years but became burned out and decided to go to dental assisting school. I love being an assistant! A desire to always be moving forward and improve myself has now brought me to hygiene school. I look forward to the independence the job will provide as I will have my own room from which to work, see my own patients, and help improve their oral health with my clinical skills as well patient education. I enjoy being in a position to help people, and I love interacting with the patients throughout the day.
