About
I am currently a Human Services Associate student at Madison College in Madison, Wisconsin. I will also be attending a training to be a Certified Peer Specialist this coming semester. I have spent a good portion of my adult life working in the service industry as a waitress or manager. Prior to the pandemic I found this line of work very enjoyable and fulfilling, I was able to form close bonds and relationships with my customers. Things have changed a lot this past year, and while it has been difficult it gave me the push needed to take the steps towards a more fulfilling career. I chose this career path because I would like to help those that might be struggling with addiction or mental health concerns.

I intend to pursue a career as an AODA counselor after graduation.

After completing my associates degree I intend to pursue a bachelor of social work at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
- Outside the classroom
From a very young age I have had a passion for foraging foods. Living in south central Wisconsin there is plenty to be found if one has a mind to. In recent years I have taken much more of an interest in mycology, and looking for mushrooms in my area. I also enjoy live music and traveling when circumstances permit.
