About

I am a Post Baccalaureate student pursuing a major in Spanish. Working with students prompted me to pursue a Spanish major because I saw the need to be bilingual and be able to communicate with parents more effectively. Currently I am a school counselor in a public school district in Houston. At times I struggle with balancing time and doing classwork but I keep my goals in sight. One thing to know about me is that I love languages. I have a French minor and I know a little Japanese from teaching overseas for two years. Teaching may not be rewarding financially as some may desire but the intrinsic motivation to make a difference in the next generation is what drives me.
