Goals and interests

Career goal

I am passionate about pursuing a career as a mental health social worker or psychologist, where I can support individuals and communities in overcoming mental health challenges. My goal is to provide compassionate care, advocate for mental health awareness, and contribute to the development of effective support systems. I am particularly interested in working with diverse populations, addressing issues such as trauma, anxiety, and social inequality. Through further education and hands-on experience, I aim to develop the clinical and research skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in the field of mental health, whether in clinical settings, community organizations, or research institutions.

Graduate school interests

I am eager to continue my academic journey in graduate school, with a focus on mental health and social work. I am particularly interested in programs at the University of Texas, Texas A&M University, and the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW), as each offers strong curricula and research opportunities in psychology and social work. My goal is to deepen my understanding of mental health issues, develop advanced clinical and research skills, and prepare for a professional career supporting individuals and communities. I am drawn to these institutions for their commitment to academic excellence, innovative approaches to mental health, and supportive learning environments.
