About
No matter how hard you think you're working, someone else is working harder. One thing I've learned through my non-traditional progression through school is that hard work pays off in different ways..
I graduated with my Bachelor's in Sociology while also studying Psychology as my second program of study. I transferred from two different schools before planting my feet at Emporia State University. With determination, anxiety and a little pinch of control I graduated in 4 years. Being in control of your future often means making big life decisions. It took my a moment before I could truly figure out what I was passionate about and how to use that to my advantage. Not indecisive, just finding my place.
I am attending the University of Missouri-Saint Louis pursing my Master's in Education concentrating on secondary school counseling beginning in August of 2016. I am an empathetic listener, an impactful communicator and I am dedicated to assisting students in their educational success.
