About

Growing up moving from state to state allowed me to develop a very diverse understanding of life and how people work together. Starting at a young age, I took interest in various different activities such as dance, painting and sports. My athletic background led me to the world of fitness, this created my interest in Kinesiology. I studied this major making me equip and up to date with proper maintenance of health and wellness. While in college, I came to realize that my goal in life was not to become rich or famous amongst my peers. With this mindset I was able to discover my passion in helping others improve their quality of life. We as humans are made to keep the world spinning efficiently and what better way can I contribute to that if not by uplifting and healing others. After all, an increase in health allows room for positivity which then leads to endless possibilities in the pathway to success. Now I am an AFAA certified yoga instructor, while in my last year as a Business Management student and I couldn't ask for a better reward for what I do.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Right out of college with a degree in management I will to work my way up in the fitness industry that I am currently involved in so that I can hold a manager position that will help me accomplish my financial objectives. As a fitness manager my projected salary would come out to $36,160 according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Some minor objectives needed to achieve this salary would be to volunteering and/or interning with the yoga instructor and professional staff at my current job. Traveling to other studios and wellness centers will contribute to my experience needed before completing my training. This way I can earn substantial amount of money and network simultaneously. If there is a delay in starting my practice from graduation to the first five years, my online and one-on-one practices will continue due to the convenience and affordability.

Graduate school interests

I will be attending either Namaste, North American studio alliance or other local agencies that specialize in certifying yoga instructors in order to earn my professional teaching credentials. With this schooling, I will continue receiving education in the areas business, biology while also learning the Sanskrit language.

Outside the classroom

I am an avid reader, there's always room to learn. I also enjoy writing poetry, crocheting and making homemade health products.
