About

My name is Tatyana Medina and I am currently a Freshman at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am majoring in Biomedical Engineering and plan on minoring in either Applied Physiology or Psychology. Not only am I a student, but I am also a member of the Georgia Tech's Goldrush dance team and am also participating in a research lab during the spring semester with an Applied Physiology professor.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I know for a fact that I want to become an engineer but I am not sure if I want my focus to be in Applied Physiology or Psychology. If I decide to focus in Applied Physiology I intend to synthesis prosthetics, specifically for injured veterans. If I decide to focus in psychology I would like to manufacture medicine to cure mental illnesses.

Graduate school interests

I do plan on going to grad school and attaining my masters in Biomedical Engineering. I would love to do my masters at Georgia Tech but I am open to other schools as well.

Outside the classroom

I am a dancer on Georgia Tech's Goldrush Dance Team and I also enjoy running. Although, my favorite thing to do is sit down with a cup a coffee and get lost in a good book.
