About

I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology with the long-term goal of becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am committed to my academic success, earning consistent honors while building a strong foundation in mental health and human behavior. My passion for helping others inspires my interest in graduate study and future clinical work with couples and families. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, writing short stories, and expressing myself through poetry, music, and journaling. Writing has always been one of my favorite creative outlets, and it helps me stay grounded and reflective. I’m excited to continue growing both personally and professionally as I work toward a career centered on connection, empathy, and support.

Graduate school interests

My graduate school interests focus on pursuing advanced training in marriage and family therapy so I can develop the clinical skills needed to support couples and families through meaningful change. I am especially drawn to programs that emphasize systemic thinking, trauma-informed care, and cultural competence, as well as those that offer strong practicum and internship opportunities. I want to deepen my understanding of relationship dynamics, communication patterns, and family functioning so I can work effectively with diverse clients facing relational or emotional challenges. Ultimately, I hope to enter a master’s program that will prepare me for licensure as a marriage and family therapist and allow me to make a positive impact on the well-being of individuals, couples, and families.

Outside the classroom

In my free time, I love anything that involves writing or storytelling. I enjoy reading books and creating my own short stories, and I often find myself writing poems as a way to express my thoughts and emotions. Whether it’s drafting a longer piece, writing music, crafting a thoughtful letter, or simply jotting down my reflections in a diary, writing has always been one of my favorite ways to unwind and be creative.
