Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended career path is to be a Broadway Actress or Tv and Film Actor because of an actors ability to influence, change, and the ability to make people think in ways they never had before. Good or bad, sad or happy, is the reason people go home and look at something in a different way even if it's only for a moment is an experience that I always want to be a part of.
You can ask most artists going into theatre what their goal is, and most of them will tell you it's the ability to tell stories. Talk about sensitive topics. Come together in a space, everyone with a different background, story, or world view and connect them all for a moment through the story we are telling. Teaching lessons in a way where no one feels attacked and unheard but everyone is listening. Even shows without heavy messages and themes, still serve as an escape from a world that seems a little unnerving at times. It is in the theatre that you can push boundaries, try things that the outside world wouldn't dare to touch on. Therefore the theatre has the power to play and alter the way they tell the story. The importance of race, gender, and sexual orientation can all change the way an everyday story is perceived.
