Volunteering
-
Volunteer two days a week at a predominantly low-income elementary school. I assisted in the kindergarten classrooms. My responsibilities were focussed on in-class school work and classroom management. I also had the opportunity to work one-on-one with a student with special needs. I was also asked to plan and teach lessons when necessary

I coordinated a fund-raiser to raise money for a 15-year old girl from Zimbabwe named Chiedza. Over the course of 2 weeks I sold bracelets from Yuda Bands to raise money specifically to help Chiedza attend school and supply her with the supplies needed for her education. I ended up raising $2500 for this wonderful young lady.
