Taking part in the nightly flag-lowering ritual at the Siesta Key Pier was a monthly event I participated in, it was filled with deep passion. I insured the presence of four dedicated students from the military academy where I also attended, we collectively lowered and meticulously folded the flag, while the melody of taps played. Occasionally, I orchestrated a vocalist to sing the national anthem, it was truly a heartfelt and meaningful occasion.
