About
I'm just a small town girl from Coleman, Texas. I have lived in Coleman my whole life.. I graduated Coleman High School in 2014. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family. Family is everything to me and I have a very large, close family. I have five siblings; four brothers and one sister. I absolutely love animals. As a little girl, I always had an interest in animals and that interest has never went away, it has only grown. I grew up with all sorts of animals, which is where I believe my strong passion to learn about and help them comes from. Throughout my life, I've had dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, turtles, chickens, ducks, goats, cattle, donkeys, horses, and pigs. I realized my senior year of high school that I wanted to go into the veterinary field. In the beginning, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I went to Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas for one year where my major was Animal Science: Pre-Vet. I then decided that maybe I did not want to be a veterinarian. I transferred to Ranger College in Stephenville, Texas and after one year there I graduated with an Associate of Science degree. I still had the desire to be in the veterinary field. I checked into being a veterinary technician and after a lot of research and conversations with professionals I was sold! I am now attending two colleges at the same time. While going to McLennan Community College to get my Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, I am also working on getting my Bachelor of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology through Tarleton State University. My heart is set on this career. My goal as a veterinary technician is to improve the health of animals and educate pet owners about proper animal care.
