About

I currently attend Black Hawk College. After receiving my Associates in Arts degree at Black Hawk I will transfer to Columbia College in Chicago. At Columbia I will major in photography/visual communications. I started my interest in photography a couple of years ago, and my passion for it continues to grow. While simultaneously attending college, working at a nursing home, and being apart of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta, I also am an entrepreneur. I do a lot of freelance photography where I take senior portraits, family, new born, modeling, and even advertising in my community. I specialize in fashion, urban photography/exploration, and fine art photography. I like to challenge myself, and be able to do it all because I believe we should never limit ourselves. My future plans consist of being a professional photographer for a well known magazine, and then eventually publishing my own. I would love to create an original interactive magazine with strictly photographs covering issues, fashion, controversies, and so forth to show how much photographs can impact society, and make a difference.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan to become a professional photographer, working mainly freelance at first, then progressing to becoming well known for my work in magazines, exhibitions, and so on.

Graduate school interests

After completing my transfer courses at Black Hawk, I plan to get a degree for Photography at Columbia College in Chicago.

Outside the classroom

I absolutely love photography, and everything about it. When I do not have my head in a book studying, it is looking through a lens. I enjoy urban exploration, and capturing crumbly and abandoned buildings. I am finding my style is unique, and different and photography allows you to show people the way you view things. I love reading about photography, taking and editing pictures, as well as thinking of elaborate personal project,s and ideas for photoshoots. I also, enjoy designing magazine spreads and covers. I am creative towards everything I endeavor. I enjoy traveling, and taking pictures of places I visit!
