My name is Tegegne Mekuria, an Ethiopian TEFL teacher, researcher, and community service administrator with more than 14 years of teaching and 4 years of high school principalship experience. My career has been based on service and learning. I am committed to achieving my academic and professional goals, believing that my special skills equip me with the competencies required to succeed.

My Experience
My career has enabled me to work in various roles:
TEFL Lecturer & Researcher: I have taught English as a Foreign Language for more than a decade, creating effective teaching methods and dynamic classroom environments. This position has been complemented by serving as a researcher, where I have added to learning knowledge by researching best practice and issues within the discipline.
High School Principal: My four years as principal gave me crucial leadership and administration skills. I managed school operations, curriculum supervision, and staff supervision, thus having a holistic perspective of institutional activities and the ability to lead a team.
Community Service Provider: I am interested in making a positive impact to my community. I have actively worked at community service, engaging my skills to meet local needs and promote other people's well-being. Through this experience, my social responsibility and collaboration pledge have been enhanced.
