About

I am a senior student-athlete at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, studying Mechanical Engineering while playing on the Cal Poly Baseball team. I have managed to achieve both academic and athletic excellence throughout college because of my hard working, disciplined attitude. Playing a college sport has required me to juggle 40 hour work weeks with the baseball team and a rigorous mechanical engineering work load, thus teaching me the importance of strong time-management skills. Additionally, playing baseball has instilled in me great leadership qualities and an excellent ability to work well in a team environment. Moreover, I am a very comfortable public speaker and I possess great communication skills. Cal Poly has given me the technical background necessary to succeed in the engineering industry as I have successfully completed everything from statics and dynamics to structural analysis to vibrations, fluids, controls, and thermodynamics courses. I am also experienced with SolidWorks and Matlab. I have even been exposed to material engineering courses as well as computer science and programming classes. I have taken numerous design courses which apply these different engineering principles to solving problems and I have hands on-experience building, testing, and analyzing solutions which I have come up with. Through four years at Cal Poly, I have maintained over a 3.8 GPA and I will be graduating this upcoming June (2015).
