Timothy Hawkins

I am a lover of music. My dream job is to share my passion with the world and teach others how to love music. I discovered this love when I was very little, and began taking my first piano lessons. I was hooked from there on out. However, I went to Eastern Michigan University to study Pre-Medicine, as I also have a compassionate heart and love to help others. Long story short, things didn't necessarily go as planned, and I soon discovered that I was missing the two things that kept me moving: learning music, and teaching music.

I swapped majors after one year of Pre-Med, and became a Music Education major, which I should have been all along! During the first semester of my true dream degree program, I received my first 4.0 GPA in a semester, and have consistently had higher than 3.8 GPA semesters ever since! I learned that I can achieve great things through what I am truly passionate for. Ever since starting my collegiate musical journey, I have grown in ways I only dreamed of when I was younger. I wish to show as many people as I can the joys of music!
