Goals and interests

Career goal

Anything Research and Writing related. I do work extremely well with other people and am capable of putting on a public face, however I never turn down the opportunity to work alone or with a small group, in fact I prefer it.

Graduate school interests

I am currently conducting research for a book I want to write on the History of different staple foods of the world and their affect on different regions and cultures. As a German student and having been to Berlin, I am extremely fascinated with the culture of Germany. I feel more at home in Berlin than I do in Ohio, which is why I also have the idea of studying the similarities of certain cultural aspects that various groups throughout the world share and how that is carried on into the modern age.

Outside the classroom

Cooking, playing music, brewing Mead, practicing self-defense/martial arts, performing body modifications, camping, playing soccer.
