About

My achievements to date reflect my determination to build a better future for myself and my family. Returning to college and becoming a senior in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Software Security Development has brought me closer to my goal of earning my bachelor’s degree and beginning a career in technology.

As a single mother of five daughters, four of whom are also in college, I want my journey to show them that it is never too late to pursue their goals. My professional experience as an office manager and dental claims processor has strengthened my communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills. My membership in the National Society of Leadership and Success has also encouraged my personal and professional growth.

Ultimately, my achievements represent perseverance, sacrifice, and commitment. My goal is to complete my degree, transition into the technology and software security field, create greater opportunities for my family, and inspire my daughters to continue pursuing their own dreams.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is in information technology and cybersecurity, with a focus on software security. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Software Security Development, I plan to pursue opportunities such as cybersecurity analyst, information security analyst, or software security specialist. My long-term goal is to build a stable and rewarding career where I can use my technical education, problem-solving abilities, and professional experience to help organizations protect their systems, applications, and sensitive information.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies include reading and helping children develop important educational skills. I especially enjoy teaching children how to type, read, and write. I find it rewarding to help young learners build their confidence and develop skills that can contribute to their future academic success.
