About
I am a graduate student at the University of Southern California in the Rossier School of Education, Organizational Change and Leadership Doctoral Program, leading to an Ed.D. My dissertation problem of practice is implicit bias in investigations. The mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) study using the Clark and Estes Gap Analysis theoretical framework seeks to understand what investigators know about implicit bias, what motivation they have for doing investigation work, and what organizational factors exist that act to keep implicit bias in place. What is learned through this research is applicable to law enforcement, child protective, and workplace investigations, among other domains.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I have several goals. I want to serve as an on-air expert for news outlets. Additionally, I want to work as a consultant helping organizations improve the culture for workers. Finally, I hope to enter higher education in a teaching capacity.
- Graduate school interests
I am hopeful to earn a future graduate degree in psychology with a specialization in trauma. COVID, workplace environments, the attack on the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., political environment, and systemic racism, sexism, and ethnocentrism have contributed to the United States population experiencing varying levels of trauma. I want to understand how trauma impacts human behavior and how it may relate to the creation and sustainability of cult or cult-like groups.
