Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended career path as an Operations Specialist within the annuities and insurance industry is centered around operational leadership, data-driven decision-making, and strategic business improvement. Through my current experience at Morgan Stanley, I have developed a strong foundation in financial operations, compliance processes, client support, and workflow management within a fast-paced corporate environment. Over time, I aspire to advance into leadership and analytical roles where I can contribute to improving operational efficiency, risk management, and organizational performance through innovative business solutions.
As industries continue to evolve through technology and data integration, I recognize the growing importance of analytics in financial services. My long-term goal is to combine my operational experience with advanced analytical skills to help organizations make more informed, efficient, and client-focused decisions. I am particularly interested in positions involving business intelligence, operational strategy, process optimization, and financial analytics, where I can bridge the gap between data insights and practical business execution.
Pursuing my Master’s degree in Business Analytics has significantly shaped both my professional interests and future aspirations. My graduate studies have expanded my knowledge in data visualization, predictive analytics, business intelligence tools, ethical decision-making, and strategic analysis. I am especially interested in learning how organizations can use data to improve customer experiences, optimize operational performance, identify trends, and drive sustainable growth.
- Graduate school interests
One of my strongest graduate school interests is the application of analytics within the financial and insurance industries. I am passionate about understanding how data can improve operational workflows, reduce inefficiencies, strengthen compliance measures, and support better financial planning for clients. Additionally, I am interested in leadership development, organizational strategy, and emerging technologies that continue to transform the business world.
Beyond professional advancement, my graduate education represents personal growth and long-term stability for myself and my son. As a single mother balancing full-time employment and higher education, my academic journey reflects my commitment to perseverance, continuous learning, and creating greater opportunities for our future. I am motivated not only by career success, but also by the desire to set an example of resilience, ambition, and determination for my child and others who may face similar challenges while pursuing higher education.
- Outside the classroom
Love spending time with my son and trying to discover Columbus through his eyes by finding us stuff to do together. I love hanging out with friends and family, enjoy cooking but love eating good food the most. I enjoy meeting new people making connections and just also enjoy being of great service to others whether it is at church programs, family/community events and even work too. As i navigate motherhood, i find myself becoming more of a home body on some weekends and enjoying quiet evenings with a good watch on streaming platforms.
