About
My name is Tucker Elliot Fenske. I currently attend Western Kentucky University and will graduate in the summer of 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from the School of Kinesiology, Recreation & Sport. I have been around sports my whole life, focusing on baseball in my youth and tennis after my time with baseball. While playing baseball in California I was a state wide all-star 3rd basemen with a batting average of .700. Leading to state wide recognition and invitations to college camps at a very young age. After moving to Kentucky I took up tennis becoming one of the highest ranked players in Kentucky and in the southern region. This lead to me playing on an NCAA Division 1 Men’s Tennis Program at Western Kentucky University. I say this because of what it shows, not that I was fortunate enough to be good at a sport, but that to achieve that level play it takes never ending dedication to work hard and to work your best. While playing tennis I was a tennis instructor teaching people of all ages and skill levels. This gave me the experience of having to work with others to create a great end result. While also working with customers or employees on what they wanted while still not compromising the quality or responsibilities of my work. Working under the Owner a showed me the duties it takes to run a facility and how problems may arise and how to find solutions for those problems. Working under the Head Tennis Instructor gave me part of the responsibility to create schedules and event plans on what we were to do each day at each lesson or clinic as well as to stay calm and make the needed corrections on the go when needed to improve the overall experience for everyone involved. After graduating I hope to find a graduate assistant position as either an assistant tennis coach or staying in the academics of sports management. Afterwards entering the work force in the event management field and to one day run one of the four major tennis tournaments or to run a ATP world tour masters 1000 series tournament in Miami, FL, Cincinnati, OH, or Indian Well, CA.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I wish to go into the field of sport event management. Due to my overall love of sport I could work in any sport, but I particularly wish to work in tennis at the ATP level. My goal is to one day run one of the four major tennis tournaments or to run a ATP world tour masters 1000 series tournament in Miami, FL, Cincinnati, OH, or Indian Well, CA.
- Graduate school interests
After graduating from Western Kentucky University in the Summer of 2015, I wish to go to graduate school at a graduate assistant. I feel that by doing so I will have put myself in a position for future success while learning the technical aspects from the schooling and experiencing the hands on aspects of the sporting world by assisting in my graduate assistant position.
- Outside the classroom
I'm an avid sports enthusiast whose passion for sport has lead him to peruse a career in sport.
While living in California I became one of the best U-12 in the state and possible the nation. Out playing most high school baseball players while still only being the age of 11-12. I got to this point by the countless hours of practices I put in every single day.
After moving to Kentucky I picked up the sport of tennis, leading me to play on an NCAA Division 1 Men’s Tennis Program at Western Kentucky University. This too was also achieved to the countless hours of practice put in and having the determination and perseverance to push through all of the injuries and short coming that may have happened along the way.
I also am drawn to music, being a singer, drummer, and a song writer.
Helping out at church events is a passion of mine. It could be attending a university specific event or helping out with church wide events, such as the Single Moms Oil Change or Jesus Prom (prom for special needs individuals).
I have lived in and been to a multitude of places in my 20 years. With each location I have lived or visited it has helped to develop me as a person. With interacting with people of different cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, and nationalities it has given me many different experiences. These experiences have given me the ability to better understand people better and their perspectives.
