Ty Johnston | Honor Society®

About

I am a Senior at Carrington High School in Carrington, ND. I will graduate May 2023 and will be continuing my education as a student at NDSU, starting in Fall 2023. I plan to study chemistry and graduate in 4 years. I have been a good student and played sports since kindergarten. In addition to maintaining good grades and playing sports, I have also had a job to get work experience that way, as well. I would appreciate your consideration for any/all scholarships you feel I would qualify for. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Honor Roll

I have been on honor roll since 4th grade, which was the first year they allowed honor roll. I've always been an excellent student and have never fell behind.

Goals and interests

Career goal: My goal is to work in a laboratory. Because there are so many different types of labs I can work in, I plan to meet with professionals in a variety of chemist career paths to see what I find most interesting and tailor my class choices to help me move in that direction. I have a list of questions to ask when I meet with these professionals so that I can compare all options and make the best decision for me.
Graduate school interests: At this time, I plan to get my degree in Chemistry. This may lead to expanding that degree in the future.
Outside the classroom: I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with my friends. During the summers, I like to go fishing and riding 4 Wheelers. During the winters, I like to play video games, darts, and pool.
