My name is Vanessa Barcimo!
I grew up in Corona, California and graduated from Corona High School in 2007.
I attended CSU San Bernardino and Saddleback College for general education.
I attended American Career College where I successfully became a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 2011.
I have returned to Austin Community College in pursuit of my Associates in Nursing, Registered Nurse.
I plan to continue to persue my Bachelors and Masters in Nursing.
I am currently the President of ADNSA - Associate Degree Nursing Student Association for Spring 2023.
I also am apart of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
I am excited to be apart of Phi Sigma Pi - to continue my growth in leadership!

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I want to explore different areas of the Nursing field before specializing. However, currently I am most drawn to working in Substance Use Disorders - Recovery Treatment center. I started working in this field since 2016 and found it most fulfilling. I want to pursue my Masters in Nursing and possibly specialize as a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

I am interested in pursuing my Masters in Nursing and specialize as a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. However, I am open to other specialties, however I have found this area has been the most rewarding to me so far.
