About
My name is Vashaun Saunders, and I am a driven high-school senior, whose aspiration is to go to college, major in biochemistry, followed by enrolling in dentistry school. My overarching goal is to become an Endodontist, assisting those who are less fortunate, with their dental needs. I have a passion for poetry, creative writing, softball. During my sophomore and junior year of high school, I became Historian and Secretary of National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society, and discovered my passion for organizing and engaging in service activities. My involvement with these groups has given me a sense of leadership and collaboration skills, by allowing me to work with others to construct different service-learning projects, in both co-management and hosting positions. In my upcoming journey, I intend to leverage the newfound abilities and skills I've acquired during high school and throughout my life to excel in college and my future career. I am excited and ready for the next chapter of my life to begin, and watch myself develop into a better scholar, person, and leader on a collegiate level.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My objective is to establish my own dental practice, dedicated to serving underserved communities, particularly people of color, and historically marginalized individuals with limited access to dental care. I am driven to offer support to those who have faced similar or more challenging circumstances in any way I can.
- Graduate school interests
While in an undergraduate college I will major in Biology, and get my Bachelor’s of Science or DDS. Before graduation I will need to ensure I complete a postgraduate training by getting DFT (Dental Foundation Training), and then complete my compulsory Vocational Training (this will be around the time I plan to apply and or attend a dentistry school). I then plan to further my education by getting my Masters degree in oral biology, specifically in Endodontics.
