About
As an artist my goal is to create artwork that my audience can relate their own experiences to. This encourages my audience to engage in discussions with one another about their unique experiences, and arrive at a better understanding not only of my community but of each other’s communities as well. This leads to the slow washing away of stereotypes, stigmas, and norms as many different groups of people come together and engage with my artwork. During my journey as an artist I’ve noticed people would connect with my art through personal experiences. This gave me a better understanding of people who were strangers to me. It also made me realize more about myself. These experiences made me want to create artwork that told stories people don’t talk about.
