About

I will begin my college education at California State University Fullerton in Fall 2020. I will be majoring in psychology, working towards becoming an ABA therapist. My dad is a veteran of the Marine Corps, so growing up I've gotten to know many different types of people and have lived in several places. This has prepared me in life to work well with others and thrive in a diverse community. I have grown stronger being a part of a military family; I handle stress well and can easily adapt to change. I have always tried to make an impact in the community, and volunteer work has been very important to me. I have taught in the preschool at my church, volunteered at a local food pantry, and was a part of the Rho Kappa chapter in my high school. Through Rho Kappa I was able to help involve my peers in their civic duties by helping them register/pre-register to vote. Also through Rho Kappa, I served as a student poll worker in the primary election of 2020. I am a very passionate, hard-working, and dedicated student who hopes to help others along my way to becoming an ABA therapist where I will further serve my community. Giving back to others is so, so important.

Goals and interests

Career goal

At Cal State Fullerton I will study psychology working towards a Bachelor's degree to become an ABA therapist. An ABA therapist provides Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to an individual (usually a child with autism or other condition inhibiting social skills).

Graduate school interests

After earning a Bachelor's degree, I will work for my Master's degree to become a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) so I will be able to assign and supervise treatments.

Outside the classroom

During high school, I was a part of the intermediate dance team. I have been dancing since I was 8 years old and it will continue to hold a special place in my heart. Dance has allowed me to express my emotions and connect with people who have similar passions.
