About
My name is Vincent Weir, and I am a retired U.S. Army veteran with over 21 years of service in logistical and operational management. After my military career, I transitioned into federal service, where I currently work in asset and logistics management with the U.S. Department of Transportation. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and continue to challenge myself academically in business administration, supply chain management, and construction management.
Education and lifelong learning have always been important to me, and I am proud to have maintained a GPA above 3.7 and been recognized on the Dean’s List. My academic work has given me the opportunity to research a variety of areas, including supply chain disruptions, construction finance, renewable energy, and project management.
Beyond my career and academics, I am passionate about mentoring transitioning service members, giving back to my community, and building generational wealth for my family through financial planning, real estate, and entrepreneurship. Joining the Honor Society represents not just an academic achievement for me, but also a chance to connect with others who value leadership, service, and excellence.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended career path builds upon my 21+ years of military service in logistics and my current work in asset management with the U.S. Department of Transportation. I aim to continue advancing in the fields of logistics, supply chain, and project management, with a long-term goal of transitioning into senior leadership roles such as Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Director, or Construction Project Manager.
Through my academic studies in business administration, supply chain management, and construction management, I am strengthening my technical expertise while broadening my leadership and strategic planning skills. I am especially interested in roles that allow me to combine operational efficiency with innovation—whether in government, defense contracting, or private industry—while driving organizational success and mentoring the next generation of professionals.
Ultimately, my career path is focused on leveraging my military and civilian experiences to make a lasting impact in logistics and project management while building generational stability for my family and contributing to my community.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested in pursuing graduate studies in fields that build on my military and civilian background in logistics, supply chain, and business management. My primary focus is a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Supply Chain Management or Project Management. I am also considering graduate programs in Construction Management, as I have developed a strong interest in project delivery, cost control, and risk allocation through my academic research.
Graduate school will provide me with the opportunity to deepen my leadership and analytical skills while gaining advanced knowledge in organizational strategy, global logistics, and financial management. I am particularly drawn to programs that emphasize real-world application, innovation, and leadership development, as I want to translate what I learn directly into my professional roles. Long-term, I plan to use my graduate education to transition into senior leadership positions in logistics, supply chain, or construction project management, and to continue mentoring others pursuing similar career paths.
