Wendie Bui

My name is Wendie. When I was a young girl, I dreamt of a fairytale world and hoped to pursue a career where I could make a difference as a cardiovascular surgeon. Gradually, I learned that was impossible to someone of my face. I taught myself to smile and find the beauty in the brokenness I was living in. I not only want to bring awareness to Asian Americans, but I want to change American culture through a beloved Art, Film and Movies. Thus far, throughout this journey, I find myself humbled by artists and fearless writers lost in time. Specifically, the countless, nameless women and men who I see a lifetime flash before my eyes when I read or see their artwork. Moving forward means living with a different life experience, one I feel I am still trying hopelessly to find and create currently.
