I am now into my sixth (6th) class with five (5) more classes to complete. After completing this degree, I will have a Master of Arts in Leadership with an Emphasis in Ministry Leadership.
My previous educational background is as follows: High school graduate of Conway High School as a National Honor Society Graduate of 1982 with a 3.4 GPA; College Graduate of the University of South Carolina - Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a 2.3 GPA; Basic Facilitator Certificate from North Carolina State University in 1997; Master of Education in Computer Technology in Education from Lesley University with a 3.9 GPA; Master of Education in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University with a 3.9 GPA.
I am a retired educator with over 20 years plus experience that range from elementary education special education, middle and high school science, and adult education. I served in the US Army for eight (8) years with the following experiences: Supply Clerk of 2 years on Active Duty; 3 years as a Specialists with the 413th Chemical Company US Army Reserves and Cadet functioning in Recruiting and Retention with the 3270th Army Reserves Hospital; 3 years as a Patient Administration Officer with the 251st Evacuation Hospital and 4.5 months of service in the Gulf War of 1990-1991. I have been an Advocate for US Army Military and Veterans for over 31.
My wife and I are the Pastors of Koinonia Faith Ministries in South Carolina. We have three sons. I love spending time with my family, traveling, and reading various genres of literature. I have three brothers. I love to take nature walks. I am an “Extra” in the Disney movie remake, “That Darn Cat.”
My honors include the following: Who’s Who from High School; Who’s Who for Entrepreneurs; 2011-2012 Horry County Education Teacher of the Year; Certificate of Membership and Inducted into The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement; Silver Member of Honor Society under the Honor Society Foundation.
Every degree that I have obtained has been relevant to me, and to and for those that cross my pathway of life. My high school degree and leadership experiences enabled me to be a team player as I progressed through different stages of my life.
Undergraduate College, military experiences, and my post graduate studies prepared me to be even more responsible for myself and those who around me. Many knew and embraced what they noticed was that my skills and knowledge was for the good of all involved. The skills and academic successes that I obtained sharpened my skills so that I could be a more effective leader, participant, role model, and advocate for those who could not, and cannot advocate for themselves. My life achievements and experiences prepared for the goals that obtained and those goals for my future endeavors.
