About
Hello. My name is Xavier Manuel. I'm sure you got that from my profile but I still find professionalism within a proper introduction. I am currently eighteen years of age and on the verge of transcending from high school into college. My goal is to study Mechanical Engineering and simply live a better life than what I am now. My family is of very low income. I am appreciative of what I have but I know that I can become greater than what I am now. I aim to reach my true potential. I just need to have hope and determination.Only then will I ever aim to succeed. I know not to look at the world for what it is but for what it can be.

I managed to become Valedictorian for the class of 2016 at Palisade Preparatory School. My school is located in Yonkers, New York and I feel I attained this honor through much hard work and dedication.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan on becoming a Mechanical Engineer. Whether that leads me to work for construction companies or even a tech firms is okay with me. I just want to rise to the occasions that are presented to me and become something greater than I am now.
- Graduate school interests
When I attend grad my aim will be towards either earning a higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or to study another branch of engineering altogether as a means to make myself more marketable to the world around. An individual skilled in many talents is more attractive than one skilled in only one craft.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies consist of playing four instruments. These include violin, cello, bass, and electric bass. I also go to my local comic shop and read stories such as Marvel's Spidey, DC's the Flash, and currently Locke and Key written by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez. I also hold a small Podcast consisting of myself and two friends. During said podcast we discuss recent movies and television shows and compare them to their comic counter parts. My last two hobbies consist of tinkering with broken electronics and cosplaying characters from television, movies, video games and comics.
