About
My name is Xiaowei Hunt. Students taking my Chinese class prefer addressing me 韦老师 Wéi lǎoshī which means Teacher Wei in Chinese as my maiden name is Wei, so you may call me 韦老师 Wéi lǎoshī. After growing up in Southern China, I understand the complexity of language. While learning Chinese as my native language, I also tackled the vastly different language of English in school. This could have posed a significant challenge, if not for my inspiring English teacher. The way my first English teacher taught really made language seem beautiful. I really admired her. This motivated me to become a teacher myself.
As 20 percent of the world population speaks Chinese, I think learning the language can benefit many students in many ways: culturally and linguistically and globally competent!
In my spare time, I love doing workout to keep fit and enjoy cooking for my family. I love drinking green tea and coffee from many countries and regions.
