Goals and interests
- Career goal
Students learn best when they have a team encouraging and supporting them. As a school counselor, I want to be a key player on that team. I hope to foster researched based programs to enhance their social, emotional, and academic development for students that will have an effect on them for years to come. I want to model high ethical standards to promote a positive network system with parents, teachers, administration, and community personnel.
School counselors can have a great impact on students when technology is incorporated. Videos, apps, blogs, and more can help demonstrate desired behaviors, provide academic assistance, differentiate students learning abilities, and more. My goal is to know all of my students by name and need, build lasting relationships with families, and provide resources that will support our community.
- Graduate school interests
My plan is to become a licensed professional counseling, and earn a doctorate degree in counseling.
