I'm a student who is very curious about science and always try to help others. When I was in the high school, I found many Chinese students don't have the correct sitting posture which leads to many health problems such as cervical spondylosis. To help more students remain correct sitting posture, I invented a "infrared X-Ray Sitting and Standing Correction Device". And I got China’s Certificate of Utility Model Patent(Patent No. ZL2008 2 0054630.7) with this device. I also pay great attention to community service. I have volunteered in Shanahai Pudong New District Library for one month. I worked six hour a day and provided a series of service including guiding readers to certain destinations, instructing readers to create their reader's accounts and classifying books to correspoding positions. And now I'm a freshman at Emory University. In order to better serve my neighbor community. I worked at Oxford Organic Farm once a week to help planting vegtables and fruits. And I will start working at Emory Clinic as a bilingual volunteer during the spring semester. Since I want to become a pharmacist and do research on drugs, I believe my experience at Emory Clinic will help me better understand both how health major people work and what patients need at the clinic. Though I'm a science major student, I deeply understand the importance of learning experience in different disciplines. I took one chemistry course, one latin course, one anthropology course and one English writing course about Shakespeare and films. Though these courses are quite challenging for me, as an international student, I endeavor a lot and finally achieve a 3.75 GPA. I clearly know what I need and what I want. And I'm making great efforts to achieve them. I'm passionate about what I love, just as every honor society member does. I'm warm hearted and always ready to help others. I will defintely enjoy sharing mutual support with other members if I get in honor society. I look forward to the valuable resources and great networking at the honor society. And I hope someday I can contribute to the honor society!
