About

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration at Southern New Hampshire University, with an expected graduation date of 2026. My coursework has provided me with a strong foundation in healthcare policy, ethics, quality improvement, epidemiology, health information systems, and healthcare management. Through my studies, I have developed the analytical, leadership, and communication skills necessary to contribute to the healthcare field and improve patient outcomes.

Academically, I am proud to have been inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and recognized as a member of an Honor Society. As a first-generation college student, these accomplishments represent years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to higher education. Returning to school as an adult learner while balancing work, family responsibilities, and academic demands has strengthened my determination and resilience. Maintaining progress toward my degree while working full-time has been one of my most significant achievements.

Professionally, I have worked for more than nine years with U-Haul Moving and Storage, where I have gained extensive experience in customer service, operations, problem-solving, and administrative support. I have also earned certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), further demonstrating my commitment to serving others. Personally, I am especially proud of being the first woman in my family to pursue and complete higher education goals. Growing up in a family led by a hardworking single mother, I learned the value of perseverance, service, and education. My long-term goal is to use my healthcare administration degree to serve veterans, patients, and underserved communities while making a positive impact on the healthcare system.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My achievements to date are closely connected to my personal and professional goals. As a first-generation college student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration, every academic milestone represents a step toward creating a better future for myself, my family, and the communities I hope to serve. Being inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and recognized through Honor Society membership validates the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that have been required to balance full-time employment, family responsibilities, and higher education.

Professionally, my more than nine years of experience in customer service and operations have strengthened skills such as communication, problem-solving, leadership, and organization. These experiences have prepared me for a career in healthcare administration, where effective communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to serving others are essential. Earning my BLS and CPR certifications has further reinforced my desire to work in healthcare and contribute to environments focused on patient safety and quality care.

Personally, my achievements demonstrate resilience and determination. Growing up in a family led by a single mother and becoming the first woman in my family to pursue and complete higher education has shown me the importance of setting goals and overcoming obstacles. My ultimate goal is to use my education and experience to improve healthcare services, advocate for patients, support veterans, and help underserved populations navigate complex healthcare systems. The accomplishments I have achieved so far provide both the foundation and motivation to continue pursuing these goals and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Graduate school interests

At this time I may be interested in returning back to SNHU for my Master's Degree

Outside the classroom

Cooking watching documentaries of wild life, crimes and cruises. I love shows like Naked & Afraid, WNBA, Football, and reading a good book when the sun goes down. My main hobby is helping people in anyway I can. Even within my job I go above and beyond for our customers.
