Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is to teach in my local area, Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Graduate school interests

After gaining teaching experience, I do have an interest in pursuing higher degrees at a local college, preferably UW Oshkosh.

Outside the classroom

My main hobbies are golf and volunteering. I have been golfing for a majority of my life, and as a result, golf has become a part of who I am. Golf is also a means that I use to serve other people through the Special Olympics. It has been an honor for me to work with my athletes for going on 7 years and watching them get better year by year. I am currently participating in an alternate shot format with one of my athletes, and it has been an amazing experience playing alongside him. Over the years, my partner and I have developed a bond, friendship, and team chemistry, all of which helped us earn Gold in the Wisconsin State Tournament in 2013. My partner and I had won a gold medal for the first time, something that is quite difficult to do, given the competitiveness and talent of our competition. Seeing my partner receive his first medal of any color, and the overwhelming excitement he had, will be a memory that will last a lifetime. It was one of the best days of my life. The relationships I have gained on the golf course, and as a result of golf, I wouldn't trade for anything. Someday, I would like to try and qualify for the United States Open golf tournament.
