Zaria Crumpton

My name is Zaria Crumpton and I am currently enrolled at Pearl River Community College located in Poplarville, MS. PRCC is where I am majoring in Biology with a minor in Pre-Veterinary medicine. I grew up in Leakesville, MS. I have a lot of compassion and am very passionate when it comes to animals. From a young age, against my mother's wishes, I would often bring home animals and take care of them, including bottle feeding a kitten. I would often accompany my best friend while taking her pets to the Singing River veterinarian Clinic in Lucedale, MS. I recall the excitement I would feel each time I went there. Because of my love for animals and the experiences of visiting the SRVC, I quickly determined that Veterinarian Medicine is my calling. Being from a rural area, I also recognized the need for a Veterinarian in my area. I know that I can bring awareness of the importance of animals needing medical services as well as preventative services.
