Zayd Jenkins

My name is Zayd Jenkins, and I am writing to you from Pleasant Grove, Texas. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Audrianna, and we have been blessed with two beautiful daughters named ZaNaiia and A'zuri Jenkins. I have always been fascinated by the field of psychology, and my interest in it began at a young age when I observed my family members struggle with mental health issues and depression. As I grew older, I realized that I wanted to help others who were facing similar challenges, which is why I chose to pursue a degree in psychology.

My educational and career goals are aligned with my passion for psychology. In the short term, I plan to continue my education by obtaining a master's degree in clinical psychology. My ultimate goal is to become a licensed clinical psychologist and work with individuals who struggle with mental health issues, helping them to lead happy, healthy lives.

In terms of my past employment, I have worked in various customer service and sales roles, which has taught me valuable skills such as effective communication and problem-solving. Currently, I am a Ambassador for Sam’s club. As a Resolution Specialist II and Ambassador, I have a proven track record of providing top-notch resolutions to escalated members and successfully training new hires.

I believe I should be selected to receive a Dallas College scholarship because of my dedication to my academic and career goals in the field of psychology, as well as business. Additionally, my employment experiences have helped me develop skills that will be valuable in my future career as a clinical psychologist.

Receiving this scholarship would allow me focus more on my education and professional development without financial stress, and I am confident that I will continue to make significant contributions to the field of psychology with the knowledge and skills gained through my academic activities.
