About
Hello! My name is Zuri Fields, and I am a second-year college student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with the goal of becoming a physician assistant.
Growing up, I faced many challenges that continue to motivate me. At 6, I developed a bezoar—a hard lump of indigestible material that became stuck in my stomach—causing a painful blockage and prevented me from eating. I didn’t fully understand what was happening, but I’ll never forget the patience and compassion the medical team showed me. That experience gave me early insight into healthcare and inspired my desire to work in medicine.
Despite these challenges, I have remained focused on my education and passion for healthcare. Since childhood, I have dreamed of working in medicine, driven by a desire to help others and make a meaningful difference. These experiences have shaped my determination to succeed academically and professionally, fueling my commitment to build a career that blends compassion with medicine.
As a future physician assistant, I hope to provide accessible, patient-centered care and serve as a role model for my siblings, showing them that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

My career goal is to build a successful and rewarding future as a Physician Assistant, where I can dedicate my skills and compassion to helping others. I am deeply passionate about healthcare and have long been inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I want to contribute to a healthcare system that values compassion and service, while growing both personally and professionally in a career that allows me to fulfill my lifelong commitment to helping others.

I would like to pursue grad school, but I am unsure where at this moment. I would like to attend school either in Nevada or Florida.

My hobbies include swimming, reading, and volunteering.
