Taxpayers for Common Sense (TCS) Fellowships & Internships

Taxpayers for Common Sense (TCS) is a nonpartisan budget watchdog and independent voice for American taxpayers. TCS is looking for currently enrolled and recently graduated college students to fill full-time, paid internships and fellowships throughout the year.TCS Interns and Fellows will have the opportunity to: gain a broad perspective and first-hand experience in federal policy-making in Congress and the Executive Branch, media campaigns, and grassroots organizing; develop their skills in writing, policy analysis, critical-thinking, and political awareness; and work closely with TCS' professional staff to assume real responsibility in a fast-paced environment on Capitol Hill. TCS Interns and Fellows may apply to work in one or more of the following areas: National Security, Transportation & Infrastructure Policy, Communications, Energy and Natural Resources Policy, or Organization Development. Candidates from all academic disciplines will be considered as long as they have a demonstrated interest in public policy, activism, or one of the areas mentioned above. Candidates interested in working with the Communications Department must have some journalism or writing experience.
