About

I am a senior at the University of Florida pursuing a major in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience Psychology and a minor in Disabilities in Society. I am very involved in my sorority, the Chi Omega Fraternity, on campus and was elected to serve on the Executive Board as Recruitment Chair. I have a passion for working with children with disabilities, which has motivated me to become proficient in American Sign Language. I teach ASL in the community and on campus as a Teaching Assistant for the course at various levels. I am a Research Assistant in the Behavioral Analysis Research Clinic where I take data during various studies with our clients who mainly have Autism Spectrum Disorders. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in pediatrics and use my experiences with children with disabilities to allow me to become a better doctor for all children. I hope to be able to take my skills and travel to underprivileged areas to help as many children as I can. Last summer, I went on a volunteer medical mission trip to Tanzania to shadow various doctors at Iringa Regional Hospital and it was truly an experience that solidified my passion in the medical field.
