About

My name is Ian Bailey and I am a student at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. I am currently studying Latin American History and Hispanic Studies in the Modern Language program here at MSU. I still currently cook in a restaurant in Bozeman and have been working in different restaurants since I was thirteen growing up in a small town of Eagle, Colorado. Working full time and school has been a full load but has still left me time to compete around the United States in freestyle skiing events through programs like the Freeskiing World Tour. Skiing has been a huge influence in my life and has some relationship toward my career in Spanish as there is a large and constantly developing market for the industry in places like South America where there are many opportunities for bilingual coaches and program directors. I am very interested in South American history, society, and culture and I am incredibly lucky to say that I have experienced some of the customs that Latin America has ingrained through school with programs such as Study Abroad.
