At Penn State University I have had the opportunity to fulfill my dream of getting my bachelors degree. My college experience not only taught me about my new career, Information Science and Technology, through reading but it also gave me hands-on experience. The over view of all of the areas relevant to IT such as: cloud computing, databases, security risk, systems design and web usability along with exposure to programming has made this learning experience relevant to the real world environment and has prepared me well for my career in IT. During my course of study I have found my passion in the cyber security field where there is an ever growing threat to both businesses and people. As security breaches increase there is a need for people like myself who are passionate about keeping the information that data systems hold safe from the potential damage that could be caused. This damage not only causes a loss of privacy of the data but also profit for businesses and millions of dollars to repair.
