John Hakim

I have recently completed my first semester in Pharmacy school and couldn't be happier to be part of the reputable and multifaceted program at the University of Texas at Austin. I am proud that I was able to successfully complete my coursework and achieve a high GPA. My goals for next semester are to maintain that level of academic competence and expand my horizons through participating in various clubs and groups. Participating in such organizations will provide me with ample opportunity to meet new people as well as learn about all the exciting and new advances within the profession of Pharmacy. At a very young age, I have always known that I wanted to be part of the health field and make a difference in peoples' lives through the provision of physical healing. My family is repleted with numerous health-care providers. My sister and my brother-in-law are both pharmacists and my mother is a pediatrician. Every day, I feel that I am getting closer and closer to my dream. I want to be an exceptional pharmacist who takes his career to a whole other level that reaches out to more people and positively affect their lives.
