About

Having played soccer nearly all my life and continuing on on the UTSA Women's soccer team, there's no doubt the sport has greatly impacted and shaped my life and the person I am today. Through this team sport, I have developed leadership skills, learned the importance of a good work ethic, and built a foundation of values such as perseverance and integrity. Above all, however, I value my Catholic faith that continuously guides and supports me through my life. Through faith, prayer, and hard work I hope to inspire the faith of Christ within other people, help people in need, and experience lifestyles and cultures across the world.

Goals and interests

Career goal

After majoring in Medical Humanities, and minoring in Spanish, I hope to go on to Medical School. I'm not sure what I want to specialize in yet, but I want to be able to serve the less fortunate and impoverished people of the world with the skills, knowledge, and experiences I will be so blessed to have gained through my education and life experiences both playing on a division I women's soccer team and traveling the world.

Outside the classroom

While my classes and playing soccer for the university do take up most of my time, I do enjoy many other things on the side. I enjoy crafts such as scrapbooking and little "do it yourself" projects I might find in magazines or pinterest. I also love spending time with kids whether it's volunteering at an elementary school, leading a Christian bible group, or just babysitting. In general, however, I do enjoy any type of volunteer work. Recently, I've realized I have a strong desire to travel and experience different cultures and people, particularly in Latin America.
