About

Hello! My name is Jessica, and I am a Junior at University of Oregon. I am majoring in Human Physiology and minoring in Psychology. I hope to go to graduate school and pursue a doctorate in physical therapy. I am very passionate about children and their well-being, and for those reasons, I want to be a pediatric physical therapist. I am currently an undergraduate peer advisor in the Department of Human Physiology at the University of Oregon, and I am also a research assistant in the Emotions and Neuroplasticity lab at the University of Oregon.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I hope to become a pediatric physical therapist in the near future.

Graduate school interests

I am interested in attending a doctorate in physical therapy program after I graduate from University of Oregon with a BS in human physiology.

Outside the classroom

I love volunteering and being involved in my community. I am a peer advisor for the department of human physiology at U of O where I interact with other undergraduates and prospective students about the human physiology major and possible careers they can pursue. I am also a volunteer for Early Childhood CARES and volunteer at the Springfield Explorers Classroom designed for students with communication, motor, and/or developmental delays. Outside of volunteering, I enjoy cooking, baking, hiking, and traveling. I hope to travel to the Philippines and around Europe after graduate school.
