About
Hello:
I am Emily Foster. I am currently studying at Lawrence Technological University to receive a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and Pre-Med. As of 2016 I will be considered a junior by credits. I am involved in many outside organizations and have an org of my own. I have also completed a few outside experiments with the help of presidential grants. My GPA is currently a 3.71. I desire to make a connection between the consumer and the object. I believe that having not only a physical connection but an emotional connection will help the sales of any product. Please have a look at my resume and feel free to contact me at [email protected], [email protected], or by cell at 5173884438.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Pursuing degrees in mechanical engineering and pre-med has opened my eyes to many opportunities. I have a strong desire to give back to the community and help those in need. I have chosen a weird combination of degrees because I want to combine the medical and engineering fields. Doctors of both medicine and engineering think differently. Medical Dr.s work off of memorization while Dr.'s of engineering think outside the box. By combining both mindsets I would like to save lives in a new way by innovating the medical technology that we love and use today. Currently there are only so man ways that Dr.s can help premature babies. I find this very important not only because this hypothetical premature baby is someones child but because babies will soon be the adults that will be innovating the future and they have yet to experience life- why take away life from something so precious, so innocent, and so deserving to live. My desire is to build some system in which a premature baby can still live and grow as if it were in its mother womb. Premature babies live in fluid and survive off of a host (their mother). By creating this machine I can replicate the fluid inside a mothers womb and some how keep the baby attached through the umbilical cord to a replica of its mother. This will give the baby the vital time it needs to grow and develop. I would also like to innovate the medicine that we use today to help patients suffering with Alzheimers disease. There is currently no treatment for the disease only medicine that can reduce the effects of alzheimers. By using my knowledge of engineering and medicine I aspire to creating a treatment for the disease.
