About
I have had an interest in becoming a lawyer since I was twelve years old. During my time at the University of Arkansas, I have changed my major a couple of times, but all relating to Pre Law Studies. I began my Pre-Law education in high school when I was accepted into an 21st Century honors program called Professional Careers Academy. I was enrolled in specialized classes designated to specific courses such as intro to law, etc. I then completed an internship and gave a presentation afterwards. I worked at the Johnson County Courthouse at the age of 17 and assisted in protection orders, helping judges and prosecutors, administrative work and walking victims to court or forwarding them to proper assistance/treatment programs. I then interned in Washington D.C. for a senator. I aided constituents, tracked legislation, and other administrative work. I gained a newfound interest for the media side and drafted social media posts and forums for the senators website and social media pages. I was asked to come work at Nordstrom directly after my 7 week internship program and obliged to stay busy. I was also a receptionist and recruitment chairman at the time. I love to stay busy and I hope my coursework shows just that. I hope to one day become a lawyer, specializing in family law. I also hope to advocate for the Jason Flatt Act to be required in all 50 states.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I hope to complete an internship Spring of 2017, and enter law school in the Fall of 2017. After receiving my J.D., I hope to become a family lawyer. I also plan to advocate for the Jason Flatt Act, which requires states to adhere to requiring their educators and administrators to receive suicide prevention training on in service days. Majority of the training programs are free and even if it does cost, there is no price tag on the potential ability to save the life of a child if they know the warning signs before hand and can prevent a suicide.
