About

I am studying biology at the University of Oklahoma currently, and I plan on going to medical school so I may pursue a career in gynecology and possibly obstetrics. I have also considered joining the military and being a part of the Army ROTC unit at the University of Oklahoma, but my mind is not quite made up yet. My father was in the United States Army for over two decades, and I was heavily involved with the Naval JROTC at my high school so the military is not out of the question for my career. My main goal for my life is to help educate more people on human sexual health so that the rate of unwanted pregnancy, STDs, and overall confusion may be reduced within the United States of America. I have grown up all over the southern regions of the US, mainly the nuclear lab towns of America, and I have experienced many different types of people and situations that all reinforce my desire to change the ideas Americans have on sexual health.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am pursuing a medical degree in gynecology and plan on be coming a gynecologist or OB/GYN. Later in my career I may become a health teacher, because there are many schools that do not teach health and I hope to change this.

Graduate school interests

I am interested in the University of Washington at St. Louis for graduate school. Planning on studying gynecology and obstetrics.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy reading various genres of literature, having in depth conversation, trying out home remedies for any ailment, and yoga. I was very much into playing women's club rugby, but that has ended due to several concusions.
